Welcome to First Baptist Church, Georgetown!
Located in the Georgetown area of the nation’s capital, First Baptist Church, Georgetown has made disciples for Christ and ministered in the local community and beyond since 1862. Through our missions, deacons and other ministries, we have impacted the lives of those in local schools, colleges, assisted living and homeless facilities. Through our partnerships, we have aided those in disaster-stricken areas in the U.S. and beyond. Our aim is to spread the gospel and love of God, locally and worldwide, and win souls for His Kingdom.
We invite you to virtually worship with us at our Sunday Morning Virtual Worship Service and weekly Prayer and Bible Study Services.
Salvation
This is the GIFT that God wants to give to us to begin a personal relationship with Him. To receive this gift, you only have to believe that Jesus Christ died for your sins and was resurrected. By accepting the gift of salvation, you are promised to live in heaven (like Jesus) and eternally with God. You are also promised to have the Holy Spirit, to guide you as you build this new relationship with God.
