Welcome to the First Baptist Church, Georgetown. 
We are a historic African-American church located
in the Georgetown area of the nation's capital, Washington, DC.  We are a small, friendly, family church whose mission is to "worship Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior and to promote Christian unity in
our community and world."

In 2012, we are celebrating 150 years of rich history, praising and serving our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. 

Our anniversary theme is:

     150 Years & Growing - United to Serve
               in the Kingdom of God.

Please join us in worship as we strive for a closer relationship with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ,
for another 150 years and beyond.  We invite you to be a part of our celebration.
