THEME:  Serving God by Serving Others in Need

MISSION: The Society's mission is to provide assistance to those in need.  This may be through providing direct aid to individuals or assisting
community organizations that address various social needs.  Through helping others, we are following the
directive of Christ in Matthew 25:35-40:
 
"For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye
gave me drink : I was a stranger, and ye took me in: Naked, and ye
clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came
unto me.  Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when
saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? or him, saying, Lord, when saw we thirsty , and gave thee drink? When saw we thee a stranger, and
took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee? Or when saw we thee sick,
or in prison, and came unto thee? And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto
one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me."

     high school education for two African girls
• Coordinate the SHARE Food Program
• Sandwiches for Georgetown Ministry Center (shelter)
• School Supplies Drive for Sasha Bruce Youthworks
• Giant $5 cards donation to DC Central Kitchen
• Blanket Drive for Central Union Mission
• Thanksgiving SHARE boxes/fruit baskets to FBCG
     sick/shut-in members
• Christmas Angels Project - Christmas gifts to the
     E.F.F.O.R.T.S. program children
• Care packages to FBCG collegemembers
• S.O.M.E. VacationCare bags for the homeless
• Cereal Drive for Martha's Table
• Towel/washcloth sets for Christ House
